The borough has 6,000 kilometers of footpaths, 4,000 kilometers of roads and 700 kilometers of cycle paths.
The City of Montreal asserts that these three roads require separate maintenance.
“Many are asking the question: 'How is it possible that in Montreal, bicycle paths are cleared of snow first?',” underlines Philippe Sabourin at a press conference on Friday.

Parking restrictions are expected on Sunday and the following days.
