More than 50,000 homes in Quebec are still in the dark following a snowstorm that hit southern Quebec on Thursday.

According to the latest report updated by the state corporation on Friday morning, the Laurentides, Outavoys and Monterrey regions are the worst hit in this platform of power outages.
So, in the Laurentians, no fewer than 18,353 homes were still without power, while 10,600 Hydro-Québec customers were in the same situation in Outa, which recorded nearly 170 power outages.
Nearly 7,000 households were still in the dark Friday morning in Monterrey, where 183 power outages were waiting to be resolved, while fewer than 10 power outages affected 5,637 homes on the north bank.
In Laval and Lanaudière, which received significant amounts of snow, more than 6,000 Hydro-Québec customers are still without power, according to the latest power outages report.
At the height of the blizzard, the state agency reported in the province.
