Popular UK morning news anchor Holly Willoughby has quit her long-time TV job days after Majnun was arrested on charges of plotting to kidnap and murder her.
Willoughby, who co-presented ITV’s This Morning for 14 years, announced on Tuesday that she would not return to the show after a “difficult decision” in the interests of her husband and three children.
“To everyone who has worked on the series over the years, thank you very much,” Willoughby said in a statement. “This is a very difficult farewell, you are amazing and I will forever be proud of what we did together. Thank you to everyone at ITV for your support. Thank you to every guest who sat on our sofa.”

Willoughby has not appeared on TV since she was promptly removed moments before appearing on air last Thursday when Gavin Plumb, 36, was arrested by the Metropolitan Police in connection with the terrifying plot.
Plumb, a shopping center security officer, was charged with inciting a man to commit murder and inciting a man to commit kidnapping.

The agency added that the plot was foiled a week before Nelson was scheduled to arrive in the United Kingdom.
Willoughby was placed under police protection last Friday because the motive behind the alleged kidnapping and murder plot was unclear.
