Canada introduces program for French-speaking students

If you’re interested in studying in Canada, a pilot program for students from French-speaking communities, including Haiti, will launch on August 26, the Canadian Embassy in Haiti announced in a press release this Monday.

Indeed, at a World Acadian Congress event in Nova Scotia, Canada’s Immigration Minister Mark Miller announced that a pilot program for French-speaking students “in a minority situation” would begin on August 26.

“Through the new pilot program, we will make access to Canada’s international student program more equitable for a wide range of international students,” the Canadian Chancellor said.

Also, the pilot program allows participants to benefit from a “direct access path to move from temporary status to permanent status after receiving their diploma,” according to a press release from the Canadian government, which calls on the community to urgently because the application for study is set to 2,300 permits in this program.
