A young man in an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) died Sunday evening following a surprise attack in Sorol-Tracy. The driver of the vehicle escaped unharmed.
Eminent service calls came in at 6pm about the injured man after Semin wandered into Saint-Roche.
The tragedy occurred in a wooded area near Saint-Jean Beach in Saint-Ron-de-Richelieu. The ATV involved in the crash was “side by side”.
According to initial information, the driver lost control of the vehicle in all terrain at a bend. The young passenger was seriously injured, ”said Sத்தreté du Québec (SQ) spokeswoman Catherine Bernard.
The young woman was taken to the hospital center, where her death was announced.
An investigation is underway to shed light on the circumstances of the incident.

On Sunday morning, a 70-year-old man died as a result of an ATV accident on a private estate near the Grand Semin de l’East in the eastern townships, Notre-Dame-des-Boise.
The SQ reported that the driver of the vehicle had lost control of the ATV in the “S” curve.
“The driver may lose control of the car for comfort or ATV failure,” said Audrey Ann Pilio, a spokeswoman for SQ.
Two people in the car were taken to hospital. There is no danger to the lives of the passengers.
