Christian Bale was the “middleman” between Amy Adams and the director of “American Hustle”

In addition to starring in David O. Russell’s 2013 film “American Hustle,” Christian Bale says he’s also worked as a “middleman” between director and co-star Amy Adams.

Despite what happened behind the scenes, Bell said he doesn’t look at the project with smeared eyes.

“You’re dealing with two great talents out there,” GQ told the magazine’s cover story in November.

“Look, if you feel like we’re anywhere near achieving something—and you’ve never really come close to achieving something; our imaginations are too incredible to be fully achievable—but if you’re anywhere near, when you’re working with people with crazy creative talent like Amy or David, you’ll be there. Troubles. But they are exceptional.”

He added, “Also, you have to remember, it was the nature of the characters as well. Right? Those characters weren’t people who would hold back on anything, were they?”
