A communication system problem caused a service interruption on four lines of the Montreal metro Wednesday afternoon.
The system was restored around 1 p.m. Wednesday, about 20 minutes after the network was notified, the Société de Transporte de Montréal (STM) told TVA Nouvelles.
Special bus service has been arranged on four routes for the convenience of passengers.
“To find a stop, locate it on the neighborhood map. This stop is located very close to stations and is identifiable by the color of the line it serves,” the STM noted on its X account.
“Various bus lines run their regular routes parallel to the metro lines. Feel free to use them, they are good travel alternatives,” STM still reminded us.
An internal investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the outage.
