Twitter has drawn on NBCUniversal CEO Joe Benarroch, as Elon Musk continues to shake up the social media platform’s top team.
Mr. Benarroch starts the role on Monday, focusing on commercial operations.
It comes less than a month after NBCUniversal’s chief advertising officer, Linda Iaccarino, was appointed as Twitter’s new CEO.
She will assume the position currently held by Mr. Musk, who will remain closely involved with the company.
Mr. Benarroch has already updated his LinkedIn profile, stating that he will be working in Twitter’s New York office.
He also posted an announcement of his move saying, “I look forward to bringing my expertise to Twitter, and working with the entire team to build Twitter 2.0 together.”
In his last job, Mr. Benarroch was Executive Vice President of Communications, Advertising and Partnerships at NBCUniversal. Earlier in his career, he worked for the social media giant Facebook.
