Shady is back again, Eminem is back to release his 12th studio album on Friday (July 12) with Death of Salim Shadi (Mercy Strike).
The album features 19 tracks and includes previously released singles “Houdini” and “Tobey” featuring Big Sean and BabyTron, as well as a sequel to 1999’s “Guilty Conscience” featuring Dr. Dre.
Eminem took a moment on Thursday (July 11) to explain to fans that he T dos It is actually a “concept album,” and listeners are asked to press play and follow the sequence of the project as listed from 1 to 19.
“Public Service Announcement: ‘The Death of Slim Shady’ is a concept album, so if you listen to the songs out of order they may not make sense,” he tweeted. “Enjoy.”
Eminem is aiming to release his 10th consecutive solo album to top the Billboard 200. The two singles he released at the start of the project have already broken the Billboard Hot 100. “Houdini” became Eminem’s second-highest charting song of the decade, while “Tobey” debuted at No. 95 on the chart.

“Let me tell you something, let me get this straight: Eminem is working on his own album that’s coming out this year,” Dre said. “And I actually talked to him and he said it’s okay for me to announce it here on this show. So he has an album coming out soon, I have songs on it and it’s awesome. I’m actually going to listen to the whole album for the first time tomorrow.”
