Three Rivers | A procession of thousands of police officers from all over the United States to support the Sûreté du Québec and mourn the death of Sergeant Maureen Breau, who recently died in office, arrived at the Sanctuaire Notre-Dame Du Cap.

A solemn procession of more than 3 kilometers organized by the Sûreté ends at the Basilica of the Sanctuary in Cap-de-la-Madeleine with the presence of more than 3000 police officers from more than 60 different police forces in North America. Rivers.

At the scene, a soothing music played on loudspeakers installed outside the basilica, while photographs of the dead flashed one after the other on a large screen.
The police, who could not find a place inside, could attend the funeral procession only from there.
All came to pay their last respects to their colleague Maureen Brew, who died March 27 in Louisville.
Later that evening, a 42-year-old mother who was working long hours was killed while dating a dangerous 35-year-old man. The latter was also shot dead during this tragic police action.
Since then, a public inquiry has been opened to shed light on the tragic affair.
In a few minutes, around 1:30 PM, the funeral of the 42-year-old mother will begin.
Promoted to investigator in the major crimes department, he will be laid to rest today in the presence of his wife, an investigator with the Sûreté du Québec, and their two children.
