[EN PHOTOS] “Dispersed Company”: James William Avott Gets $6.5 Million From Selling TripleOne Building

James William Awat, best known for his controversial 2022 Sunwing party appearance, has sold his Montreal headquarters building for $6.5 million.

“TripleOne is the world’s first decentralized company. Everyone can build their business brand with us,” Awad boasted several times, without elaborating on how he made his money from his professional activities.




The 31,055-square-foot building was acquired by Awad in 2021.

The Newspaper Quebecer learned last month that the building where he established his headquarters was sold at a high price. The latter, located in the city of Saint-Laurent, 9021-8116 was purchased by Québec Inc. According to the sale deed, the holding company is managed by Michael Perelshtein and Gianfranco Panarello.

“Located in Saint-Laurent’s life sciences department, this building could easily be converted into laboratory space,” specifically, read the brochure announcing the sale.

Beyond rating

James William Awat received $6.5 million from the transaction, with the building valued at $3.7 million as of 2021 municipal appraisal. Of this amount, sales taxes are $973,375.

“Great visibility provided by the strategic location, the possibility of panels on the facade and roof. […] The prestigious Nexus Business Park houses the headquarters of various renowned companies such as Canon, Telus, AbbVie, Abbott,” explains a statement from Cushman & Wakefield, which is responsible for selling the 1999-built building.

Awad did not respond to our request for an interview on Wednesday. The 31-year-old Quebecer bought the 31,055-square-foot building in 2021 to house his company, TripleOne, which is legally incorporated in Delaware.

Yet according to the sale deed, taxes and charges for the two-storey building were paid during the transaction in early May. Please note that TripleOne does not have bankruptcy or debt.

Rain of controversy

James William Awad has been trying to break into the music industry for years, but the Bois-des-Filion resident is far from making headlines for his raps.

He first appeared in January 2022, in the middle of a pandemic, with many influencers and .

In 2023, Awad found his pizzeria the target of an arson attack. Recently, he was caught by the authorities for exploitation.
