CJ Snir, founding singer of FireHouse, has died at the age of 64.
The group — which scored Hot 100 hits in the early 1990s with its singles “Love of a Lifetime” and “When I Look Into Your Eyes” — revealed Snir’s death on Sunday. On social media.
“Today is a sad day for rock and roll,” the surviving members wrote. “It is with great sadness that we inform the world that we have lost our brother: CJ Snare, rock and roll warrior, lead singer, and founding member of Firehouse. CJ Snare passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday night, April 5, 2024. He was a young man of 64 years.
No cause of death was given, but Snir's death came six months after Snir's open He will undergo abdominal surgery. The band initially postponed their concerts but hired a full singer while Snare recovered.

Formed in the mid-1980s, FireHouse stormed the charts in 1990 with their self-titled debut album, which featured a pair of singles that became hair metal anthems, “Don't Treat Me Bad” and “Love of a Lifetime,” both of which featured Writing it is an ambush.
