Fraud in CPE: Administrators’ association condemns “shameful situation”.

The allegations of fraud against the director of the early childhood center sent shock waves among Quebec’s CPE administrators association, which however maintained that it was an isolated gesture.

“The association in no way condones such practices, and we place great emphasis on integrity, probity and ethics in all our activities,” said association director general Elise Lebeau on Wednesday. of CPE Administrators (ACCPE).

Reiterating its denial of any fraud or wrongdoing, the Association, which supports the investigation by the authorities, wishes to remind members of their duty to be vigilant in any gesture that alienates members from transparent governance.

The organization understands that the alleged director’s action may cause concern among parents and CPE administrators, but it should not cast a shadow over the CPE manager’s career.

Suspect actions on the CPE network that are subject to reporting should not cause administrators to lose confidence in administrators, as this is an isolated action for ACCPE.

“Beginning in January 2023, we will be leading the ethics process with our members on a number of themes, including conflict of interest, exemplary conduct and transparency,” Ms Lebeau added.
