Each team had a deadline of 8pm ET on Friday to decide whether to offer contracts to any players eligible for salary arbitration. Players who are not up for a contract by the deadline become free agents, while players who are on contract have until January 13 to reach a deal with their club before arbitration numbers are exchanged. Both sides can continue working on a deal after that date, but some end up in arbitration hearings.
