Get 2 Years of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for Less Than a Month with This Nifty Transfer Trick Before Prices Go Up

Following the news that Xbox Game Pass prices will be increasing across the board starting in September, many people have either cancelled their subscriptions or are looking to save money on Xbox Game Pass before the price hike. If you have an expired subscription right now and don’t know the transfer trick, thank you. This post is on Reddit.I can confirm that it still works. Using this trick, you can secure a Game Pass Ultimate subscription for less than $6 per month.

The “conversion trick” is to take advantage of the 3:2 conversion from Game Pass Core to Game Pass Ultimate, and it will still work after the September price increase. However, the crucial thing is that Microsoft will impose strict restrictions on allowing us to stack our subscriptions for more than 13 months, so now is the time to take advantage of that and secure two years of Game Pass Ultimate for the equivalent of $5.86 per month. Here’s how:

Step 1: Make sure your Game Pass Ultimate subscription has expired, if you have one.

This may seem a bit silly, but even if you cancel your Game Pass Ultimate subscription beforehand, make sure it’s still in effect. In reality Expired. For example, I canceled my subscription today to take advantage of this deal, but I can’t actually start the process until after July 21, since that’s the actual day I paid for my subscription. Even if I cancel, it won’t expire until the end of the period I paid for, and this offer does not work With current subscriptions.

Step 2. Purchase a Game Pass Core code

It’s up to you where you can buy Game Pass Core, but the cheapest place right now is CD Keys where you can buy a full year for $43.29. Whether you want to buy one year or three years depends on your budget, but to get the most out of this deal, we recommend buying the full three years, for a total of $129.87. Don’t buy more than three years, as your Xbox won’t allow you to get a refund after that.

Once you’ve made your purchase, you can redeem it on your Xbox or on the Microsoft website, making sure not to accept recurring bills each time.

warningIf you purchase three subscriptions for one year, Do not accept any additional months for running recurring bills. While redeeming codes, this will break the process because Microsoft does not allow more than 3 years of stacking and any extra months you get count towards the cap.

Step 3: Purchase a 1-month Game Pass Ultimate code

After you redeem 3 years (or whichever you choose) of Game Pass Core, you’ll need to purchase 1 month of Game Pass Ultimate, which is the cheapest place to do that right now, too. CD keys $10.99 But be sure to only buy the code we linked. There is a slightly cheaper code listed on the site for $8.99 and it clearly states that it is not for people with direct subscriptions. Don’t buy that code, we have linked the correct code below.

Step 4 – Redeem your Game Pass Ultimate code and convert your Game Pass Core

Here’s the trick. When you redeem your Xbox Game Pass Ultimate code, the Xbox website or Microsoft website will ask you if you want to convert your existing Game Pass Core subscription to Game Pass Ultimate at a 3:2 ratio. Accept this conversion.

Your 3-year Game Pass Core subscription will convert to a 2-year Game Pass Ultimate subscription. You just paid $140.86 for 2 years, instead of the $360 it would have cost you if you paid $15 a month. Hooray!

  • Pass core game $43.29 x 3 years = $129.97
  • Game Pass Ultimate $10.99 For 1 month
  • Total spending $140.86 2 years of Game Pass Ultimate
  • work in $5.86 Monthly, compared to $14.99 Cost of September.

Don’t want to use tricks? Or do you have an existing subscriber? You can save too

If the above sounds like nonsense, or you simply can’t take advantage of this deal because you have an existing subscription that exceeds the September price hike, you can still save money on Game Pass Ultimate simply by stacking 3-month CD Keys, which are worth $127.96 for a year. As of September 12, Microsoft will prevent us from stacking codes for more than 13 months, so now is a really good time to take advantage of the discounts.

While the new tiers that will be launching in September are… confusing to say the least, here’s a detailed rundown of Microsoft’s full announcement on the new pricing structure and the differences between tiers. In short, while the message is questionable, I firmly believe that at $15 per month, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is still the best value in gaming. The library is constantly growing with bigger and better titles, and it’ll be the cheapest way overall to play the new Call of Duty Black Ops 6 , which is due out later this year. You can also take advantage of Xbox Game Pass across both PC and console, plus access to Xbox Cloud Gaming and discounts if you want to buy your own games. Did we mention that you can now play Xbox on the Amazon Fire Stick too?
