‘Gollum Refunded’: New $50 King Kong Toy Called ‘A Complete Scam’

A new King Kong game has gone viral for its unusually poor graphics, with one player branding it a “total scam”.

Skull Island: Rise of Kong was released for consoles and PC on Tuesday, and social media was quickly filled with videos highlighting its poor presentation, which at points appears incomplete.

One clip, which has been liked more than 30,000 times on Twitter, shows a cut scene in which the developer appears to have inserted a still image instead of the unfinished animation.

Another clip, shared by a King Kong fan account, shows a fight scene that the user calls “low-effort shovel tools.”

Skull Island: Rise of Kong retails for £44.99/$49.99 on PlayStation Store. However, PS Plus members can get a 25% discount.

Skull Island: Rise of Kong is developed by a Chile-based company iguana bwhich has previously worked on several niche console games, and is published by GameMill Entertainment.
