Several sections of Quebec are expected to experience heavy rain on Monday, which has already been affected by the downpour favored by the spectacular rise in the mercury.

So an umbrella will be essential for travel early in the week when the corridor of the St. Lawrence River Valley could break record rainfall.
Some areas are expected to see 50 millimeters of rain in the Montreal area on Monday and more than 70 millimeters in Quebec.
Rain will stop in the west of the province in the afternoon and may turn to intermittent snow under strong winds, according to Environment Canada.
The weather will also be wet in eastern Quebec, where 20 to 40 millimeters of rain could fall in certain areas, especially Sept-Îles, on the north shore.
According to the federal agency’s forecasts, the Gaspésie and many parts of the northern coast will be hit by strong winds of 70 km/h.
The mercury will take on a summery feel, with temperatures of 12 degrees in central and eastern Quebec, 14 degrees in Estrie, and 9 degrees in Montreal.
