Due to the many closures that make traffic difficult in Quebec, motorists have to be patient over the weekend.
Already, on Saturday morning, the closure of Henry-IV Highway (A-73) caused major traffic congestion in the capital-National.
Highway 73, in fact, is full of closures that are in effect until Monday morning.
First, there is a complete north-facing closure between the Autoroute Duplesis (A-540) / Boulevard Laurier (R-175) and the Boulevard du Versant-Nord.
The second closure then takes place in a southerly direction between Scharest (A-440) / Félix-Leclerc (A-40) Highway and Hochelaga Boulevard.
Motorists are being asked to take a detour on the Duplessis Highway (A540) to the north and the Felix-Leklerk Highway (A40) to the east as their movements are reversed by several closures.
“Avoid this sector and, above all, consult Quebec 511 and plan your travels,” Transport Quebec reminded us. Tweet Released on Friday.
Traffic is expected to be heavy until Monday morning, after which Highway 73 will reopen to traffic.
