Update to the latest: Hurricane Hillary is expected to weaken by the time it hits Southern California this weekend, but on Friday the National Weather Service issued a Tropical Storm Watch, the first ever for the region. Flooding and high winds are likely across Los Angeles and Ventura counties and even Santa Barbara as Hillary makes landfall near San Diego on Sunday, with major impacts expected Sunday and Monday.
It’s a busy weekend event in Los Angeles and SoCal, with all of the city’s NFL and MLB teams hosting games. There are also performances at the Hollywood Bowl and the Greek Theatre, and of course theme parks from San Diego’s SeaWorld to Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm, Universal Studios Hollywood and Magic Mountain keep an eye out from south to north along the Interstate 5 corridor.
