The number of Hydro-Québec subscribers without power was approaching 35,000 as of Monday afternoon.

As of 12 noon on Monday, 35,353 households were still without electricity. Since Wednesday’s blizzard began, the Montreal region is still the most affected by the darkness, with 21,398 customers, followed by Outaouais (6,583 customers), Montérégie (3,768 ) and Laval (3,192).
“You might have the impression that the speed is slowing down, but that’s not the case,” Regis Delier, vice-president of operations and maintenance at Hydro-Québec, assured Sunday.
“Rest assured that we are doing everything we can to restore service as soon as possible,” the state-owned company tweeted, thanking those affected for their patience.
Hydro-Québec grounded nearly 1,600 workers on Monday and restored service to customers still without power.
“Since the onset of the freezing rain storm, more than 95% of affected customers have recovered electricity,” Hydro-Québec said in a press release.
In total, remember that at the height of the storm, nearly 1,125,000 customers were affected in many parts of Quebec as of Wednesday.
