Rats climbing the walls, blood and feces everywhere, gnawing freezer wires, ruined clothes, a ruined mattress: the Montreal North resident literally had to leave her apartment.

“I’m losing everything,” the citizen exclaimed to QUB.
Karine Trudel has been seeing all the colors in recent weeks! After major water damage in one of its neighbors forced the city of Montreal to shut off the water and begin work, dozens of rats suddenly took over the area’s homes.
What started as an unwanted cohabitation soon turned into a real nightmare. Karin rushed to contact the city after noticing that the rats had directly entered her apartment and were even soiling her clothes.
You read that right: A resident struggling with a major rodent problem is asked to block the computer, gain monopoly, and move the police to get the rats out of her apartment. Let’s just say the absurdity of the situation didn’t fail to make Alexandre Moranville-Ouellet, the host of the morning show at QUB, react.
“You can’t shoot rodents,” the police department bluntly replied. It should also be noted that the city recommended the famous “Rat Squad” after contesting the veracity of the citizen’s testimony. Citi seems to have replied to Karin that she was exaggerating and that it was impossible for you to have so many rats in your house.
“The city lights you up!” said Alexandre Moranville-Oullet angrily.
With no choice but to leave her apartment, Karin Trudel is on the street with her four children, two of whom have special needs due to autism spectrum disorder.
“I’m starting to hate Montreal,” he says.
She is also waiting for feedback from the city, which continues to sweep her issue under the rug. What is the city waiting for to help this citizen in distress? The question is fair.
