Sonia Lebel has submitted a proposed regulation to the Federation of Autonomous Education to end the indefinite general strike affecting nearly 40% of schools.

“Last night, the Quebec government submitted a proposed regulation to the FAE. We are committed to a solution as soon as possible, and this proposal demonstrates that. If it is adopted, it will be possible to concretely improve services for students, the working conditions of teachers and respond to the priority issues raised by the FAE. We look forward to positive feedback from the union soon. ,” the Treasury Board chairman said in a written statement to the media Tuesday morning.
We speak of a settlement plan when the negotiations have progressed far enough to cover the issues of both parties. Therefore, Quebec believes it has found common ground to end the conflict.
