As usual, Apple released the first iOS 18 beta to developers after the WWDC keynote. Although it is free for anyone to install, it is not intended to be installed on your main iPhone.
But we are not far from a more stable beta version intended for the public. This usually arrives alongside the third developer beta a little over a month after WWDC.

This is based on the last 2 years where Apple released 5 weeks after the first developer beta.
There’s always a chance that Apple will shake things up and do a four- or six-week break between developer and public beta. The former will be released from July 8 to 10, while the latter means a release from July 22 to 24.
