24 hours after being elected co-spokesperson of Québec solidaire, Émilise Lessard-Therrien explained how she sees her new role in an interview on “Le Bilan”.

He specifically noted his role as an extra-parliamentary leader, rural candidates, and political-family reconciliation.

The politician, who celebrated his 32nd birthday on Monday, wants to take his seat alongside the party’s other co-spokesman, Gabriel Nadeau-Dubois.

“I’ve never been in the shadow of a man, and that starts today,” he said.

Ms Lessard-Therrien has not ruled out a QS prime ministership at the next election.

“When you run as co-spokesperson of Quebec Solidaire, you have to be prepared for this eventuality. I’m going to take office and we’re going to see how the next months, the next two years, and depending on the situation, we’ll have the discussion that we need to have,” said the supportive co-spokesperson. explained.

“This decision also belongs to Quebec Solidaire members, so I’m not in a hurry, but I’m ready,” he added. “We’ll see!”
