Nobody’s mother Jeffrey DahmerWrath victims Evan Peters She won a Golden Globe for her portrayal of the serial killer on Netflix… She says he should have honored the victims.
ShirleyDahmer’s victim’s mother Tony Hughes, TMZ says… Evan should have used his acceptance speech to remind the families still reeling from Dahmer’s crimes, or to say that Hollywood should stop telling stories about and glorifying the killers.
Evan won a Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Limited Series or Anthology for his work playing Jeffrey Dahmer in the Netflix series “Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story” … And in his acceptance speech, he told the audience that he hopes something good will come of his win and the series.
Shirley quipped… that nothing good would come of an Evan Award for a Netflix series. It adds to the grief for the families of the people who killed Dahmer, she says, reliving the tragedy over and over again.
Tony’s mom would also say this about Evan’s big night… “There are so many patients around the world, and people who win acting roles playing killers keep the mania going and that makes patients thrive on fame.”
Also in his speech, Evan mentioned how difficult it was to do a series of Dahmer…but Shirley questioned why he took the role in the first place. She says he should not have played this role out of respect for families still grieving the loss of their loved ones.
The bottom line for Shirley… “It’s a shame that people take our tragedy and make money. The victims have never seen a dime. We go through these feelings every single day.”
