Kate Middleton presents the Wimbledon men’s singles trophy to Carlos Alcaraz

Kate Middleton was in the Royal Box on Centre Court at Wimbledon on Sunday to watch defending champion Carlos Alcaraz claim his second men’s singles title against Novak Djokovic.

The princess, who has been out of public view for the first half of the year undergoing chemotherapy, received a standing ovation from the crowd when she appeared before the crowd. The princess has been a patron of the All England Lawn Tennis Club since 2016 but was absent from the tournament this year until today’s final.

The Princess of Wales entered the pitch after the match to present the trophies. It was her first public appearance since watching the official birthday parade last month, when she appeared on the balcony with other members of the royal family at Buckingham Palace.

With Kate in the royal box were her daughter Charlotte and her sister Pippa Matthews.

Other celebrities on Centre Court for the match include Tom Cruise, Benedict Cumberbatch and his wife Sophie Hunter, Tom Hiddleston and his actress wife Zafi Ashton, Courtney Cox, and former champions Andre Agassi, Lleyton Hewitt and Chris Evert.
