Kate Middleton visited High Down Prison suffering from a mysterious hand injury on Tuesday morning.
Kensington Palace revealed that the injury, which resulted in a bandage wrapped around two fingers, was the result of her playing on the trampoline with her children. A spokesman added It is a “minor injury” and “not serious.”
The Princess of Wales, 41, who is mother to Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5, was visiting the prison as part of her role as patron of the Forward Trust, to see how prisoners and their families are coping. They are supported through addiction, ahead of Addiction Awareness Week.
She wore a navy suit for the visit, rocking beach waves and freshly draped bangs.
High Down is a men’s prison housing around 1,100 prisoners, and the Forward Trust offers a variety of services there, including workshops for addicts and their loved ones and abstinence-based programmes.
This is one of Middleton’s first royal engagements since the summer vacation ended and her children resumed school.
Earlier this month, she wore Queen Elizabeth’s pearl earrings on the first anniversary of the Queen’s death while attending a memorial service.
Middleton, her husband Prince William and Princess Anne, 73, also recently joined Mike Tindall, 44, and his hosts James Haskell and Alex Payne on Saturday’s episode of their podcast. “The good, the bad and the rugby“. During the chat, it became clear that Al-Raqi Middleton is competitive in college students’ favorite sport: beer pong.
Tindall, who is married to Princess Anne’s daughter Zara, 42, said on the podcast: “I wouldn’t say you’re competitive, but…” “I’ve seen her play beer pong!”
She also admitted that she and Prince William, 41, are too competitive to play sports with each other.
“I don’t think we’ve ever been able to finish a tennis match, both of us,” Middleton said. “It becomes a mental challenge between us.”
The early days of dating between Kate Middleton and Prince William will soon be filmed in Netflix’s The Crown (Ed McPhee, 23, plays Prince William and Meg Bellamy, 19), which returns for its final season at an unannounced date in Fall.
