Lanaudière: A teenager died in a road accident in Saint-Michel-des-Saints

In Saint-Michel-des-Saints in Lanaudiere, a young woman lost her life in a road accident caused by drunk driving.

Around 11 am today, the 20-year-old driver lost control and the pick-up truck carrying seven passengers overturned on Manawan Road.

“I was the first to arrive at the scene, I passed by and saw a group of young people in distress, bloody, injured and in shock,” the council president said on his Facebook page. Manawan, Paul-Emile Atticamax of Ottawa.

This Saturday a bender was a casualty on the Manavan road in Saint-Michel-des-Saints.

Ben-Gabriel Ottawa (17) died in the accident. He was airlifted to a hospital in critical condition when first responders arrived, where he was pronounced dead.

Six other passengers were also injured, but their lives were not feared.

Dangerous driving

The driver has been arrested and will face charges of driving causing death.

Some passengers will not sit safely in the vehicle.

According to the first estimates of the Sûreté du Québec, they actually took place in the box of the truck.

The accident sent shock waves through the Manawan community, about 200 km north of Joliet.

Manawan’s Athikamax Council provided assistance to people who felt they were in urgent need of psychological support.
