“This is the second time this shelter has been targeted,” says a resident of a building targeted by projectiles.
From her window, she saw a vehicle driving slowly around 9 p.m. Seconds later, the sound of projectiles was heard. “The three of them were sitting on chairs in the balcony. It’s a miracle no one got shot,” the young woman continues.
Police officers from the Service de Police de Laval (SPL) were called at around 9:30 p.m. to the sightings heard at the intersection of Mackenzie and Hennessy streets.
Several casings were found on the ground. The SPL reports “project impacts on residences and at least one vehicle parked nearby”.
No injuries were found by the police. No suspects have been identified yet.
A spokesman for the SPL said the scene was secured and investigators were on site to understand the circumstances of the incident.
