Leaders of several street gangs were arrested for the two murders

Montreal police have arrested four street gang-linked men for the murders of Judge Owusu Tajudeen and Noel Garcia-Frias, a major crackdown that could calm tensions linked to violent clashes between the Laval street gang-Rapids and Flame Head Boys. FHB) and their rivals, the Alliance of Blue Gangs 26.

Johnny Odyssey, Jus. Jack Shehata, nicknamed Jackie. William Beauvais is known as Basil, the Outlaw. and M’hammed Berberi, sometimes called Momo Burberry.

The names of the four men arrested on Wednesday morning are very familiar in the underworld. And for good reason: These are members of street gangs who have been at the forefront of many of the deadly clashes in recent years.

“Four people were arrested this morning in connection with two murders in Charlemagne and Montreal in June and August 2023,” the Montreal Police Service (SPVM) announced Wednesday morning.

According to our information, the two victims are Judge Owusu Tajudeen, alias Steady, and Noel Garcia-Frias.

Judge Owusu Tajudeen, 28, was shot and killed last summer at the Arabesque chicha bar in downtown Montreal.

Noel Garcia-Frias, 32, died of his injuries after being hit by multiple gunshots. The man killed in Charlemagne in Lanaudiere is known to police sources.

In June 2023 Mr. Authorities believe Garcia-Frias’ murder, a month before “Steady,” was actually a case of mistaken identity.

“Later he was in a parked Audi Q8 vehicle when he was caught in the crossfire. Various elements gathered by the SQ during its investigation suggest that the thirty-year-old may have been a victim of mistaken identity,” the SPVM assessed.

The shooters were mistaken: the victim had the same model car as the real target, Justice Owusu Tajudeen.

The latter was close to Christopher Shawn Jean Wilsant, who was shot dead two months earlier.

Mr. Jean Vilsaint was the leader of a coalition of blue loyalist gangs known as the 26, which included his friend Justice Owusu Tajudeen. The group got into several conflicts, including a violent fight with a rival gang called the Flame Head Boys (FHB) of Laval-des-Rapids.

According to our information from criminal sources, Mr. Owusu Tajudeen’s death would have fueled the already existing tension between 26 and the alliance of Laval gangs FHB and 24. Many died in the war between these two groups: our sources say the murder of one of the 24 members, Frederick Michell, of Poole was attributed to Mr. The underworld claims that Owusu is in response to Tajudeen’s murder.
