A search operation in the Grande-Digue area of New Brunswick that continued Wednesday afternoon and throughout Thursday was called off Thursday night. RCMP have not yet indicated whether they plan to resume the search on Friday.

RCMP on Thursday released a photo of Danielle Robichaud, who has been missing since Wednesday evening in Grande-Digue.

His family is worried about him, they add.
Daniel Robichaud is 173 cm (5 ft 8 in) tall and weighs approximately 75 kg (165 lb). He has light brown eyes and gray hair. He is bearded gray and well-trimmed. He was last seen wearing a burnt orange winter coat and black snow pants and protective gear including white hockey shin guards, white hockey shoulder pads and a black hockey helmet.

There was a windsurfer in Grande-Digue Bay, and his girlfriend was looking forward to it, but he didn't come back, so we searched.
The fireman says.
The Joint Rescue Coordination Center in Halifax delivered the Cormoran helicopter late Wednesday. An RCMP helicopter later took over, and the search was called off around 10:30 a.m. before resuming Thursday morning.
Several emergency services participated in a search and rescue operation in Grande-Digue on Wednesday evening.

On Thursday, searches were conducted in Shediac Bay, Shediac Island and Shediac River.
By midday, the search had moved into the Cap-des-Caises cave, where authorities specifically deployed a drone.

Firefighters from the Cognac Fire Department, staff from the Joint Rescue Operations Coordination Center, and members of the Air Force RCMP and ground search and rescue teams assisted in the search.
