“In life you have to be prepared for everything, and the opportunity to represent this great club with a rich history is an opportunity I could not refuse,” Reguilon said in a statement.
Reguilon became the second player to arrive at United on Friday before the transfer deadline, alongside Turkish goalkeeper Altay Binder, who joined from Fenerbahce.
He added: “After I spoke with the coach, I know what he needs from me, and I am ready to play my part in helping the team achieve success.”
“I know that I can contribute to Manchester United this season, and I am ready to fight for this group and show my qualities to everyone.”
United’s transfer activity is far from over, with the club working on a deal to bring in Fiorentina midfielder Sofiane Amrabat on loan with a commitment to make it permanent, sources told ESPN.
Sources told ESPN that United were only able to move for Amrabat, 27, after agreeing to move Dean Henderson to Crystal Palace. Henderson joined Palace on Thursday in a deal that could rise to 20 million pounds ($25.4 million).
