Mandatory vaccination | Conservative MP, asked to leave Parliament

(Ottawa) The Conservative MP, who refused to disclose his vaccine status, tried to enter the House of Commons on Friday and was told to leave.

Released at 7:30 p.m.

Cathay Wagantall, representing Yorkton-Melville in Saskatchewan, told a news conference in Parliament Hill that she had been told to leave the House of Commons.

MMe Wagantall says he spoke with the Conservative House Leader on Friday, who advised him to stay while the council sits and to leave at the end of the day.

In November 2021 the House Board of Internal Economy set the condition that the Covit-19 vaccine must be presented, although Speaker Anthony Rotta later ruled that the Bureau had violated its authority.

The Liberals and the NDP then joined hands to pass a resolution extending the hybrid sessions of parliament, stating that anyone entering the border must be fully immune to COVID-19 or have a proper medical exemption.

MMe Vagandol says he left voluntarily, but believes he would have been arrested and deported once the session was adjourned.

After he left the building on his own, he was taken away by the Sergeant-at-Arms of Parliament.

He says he arrived in Ottawa at the end of April, and before that he made three solo tours to Ottawa.

MMe Vagandal says he was not allowed into his office and has not accessed it since November 2021.

Noting that it takes three and a half days to ride in Saskatchewan and drive to the country’s capital, he says he is not allowed to fly or train.

“Ontario is open. My province has been open for a long time. I am not suing anyone who suffers from Govt disease. But regardless, it’s time for this country to move forward, ”he commented.
