Progressive Conservative Premier Blaine Hicks said in a media melee that all state officials in his province should be fully vaccinated.
Details of the program will be released later, but it is said that the vaccine will be needed not only by staff in the health network, but also by teachers or staff working in long-term care centers.
Government employees who are unwilling or unable to be vaccinated should continue to be tested for Govt-19.
The Prime Minister explained this situation by weakening the vaccination campaign in the province. About 72% of the eligible population is fully vaccinated there, which is the rate at which more and more stagnation is taking place in Monton.
Hicks said he hopes New Brunswick businesses will follow the government’s guidelines for vaccinating their employees.
The new Brunswick program, presented Wednesday, will go far beyond Quebec’s currently defined plan to vaccinate health workers who interact with patients.
