The super PAC supporting Robert Kennedy Jr.'s presidential candidacy, called “American Values 2024,” announced a fundraiser in late January that promoted Martin Sheen, who played the US president on the show “West Wing” and is a former boxer. American Values promoted the event last week By sharing it on Xformerly known as Twitter, and daily Mail Report that the four stars will appear at the ceremony. CBS News obtained a copy of the invitation, and although it did not include the artists' names, the super PAC confirmed the report.
But shortly after the PAC's post appeared on social media, Sheen said in an interview Instagram story“I do not support RFK Jr. and will not attend his concert.” Sheen, who played fictional President and former New Hampshire Governor Josiah Bartlett on the award-winning show, added that he “wholeheartedly supports Joe Biden and the 2024 Democratic ticket.”
The fundraiser, hosted by American Values 2024 and other political action committees supporting Kennedy, will celebrate the independent candidate's 70th birthday at a party scheduled to be held on the eve of the New Hampshire primary, on January 22, in Indian Wells, California.
Bradley Whitford, who played Sheen's White House deputy chief of staff in the TV series, reiterated on X that Sheen does not support Kennedy.

Warwick called the PAC's announcement “completely ridiculous” and said she was not aware of the event.
“I know nothing about this event. I did not agree to it and I certainly will not be there.” Warwick said in X. “If you're going to lie about my name, at least lie about something cool.” she added.
A representative for Bocelli said Rolling Stone He is not performing at the concert and will not be in the United States this month.
In a statement sent to CBS News, the Kennedy campaign said it had “nothing to do with organizing this event.”
“The campaign has no knowledge of who will attend and cannot confirm or deny that anyone will participate, whether as entertainment or as a guest,” Kennedy's press secretary Stephanie Speier told CBS News.
American Values 2024 did not respond to a request for comment.
It is not yet known whether actor and former boxer Mike Tyson will attend the event.
