Marvel fans have spotted a somewhat unusual reference to Tobey Maguire's first Spider-Man movie in the new trailer for Deadpool 3.
There's a lot to take in when it comes to the latest trailer for the trilogy, from our first proper look at Emma Corrin's bald-headed villain – who will likely turn out to be Professor X's evil twin Cassandra Nova – to Wolverine being… alternative? Not to mention, there are a ton of Easter eggs you can catch in the two-and-a-half-minute clip, so it makes sense that not everyone noticed. Everything immediately.
Two days after the teaser appeared online, one eagle-eyed viewer took to Twitter to point out that one of Deadpool and Wolverine's brawls in the film uses the exact same fight choreography as Peter Parker's bout with chubby high school bully Flash (Joe Manganiello) from the superhero film Directed by Sam Raimi in 2002.

Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), just like Flash, hits his opponent with a left hook, which Deadpool (and Spidey before him) easily dodges. The same goes for the next movie: Right Hook. Wolverine then slices his claws at Deadpool, but the Merc with a Mouth retreats just in time… just as everyone's favorite web-slinger did.
“He's just trolling us at this point,” one person joked in the replies, presumably talking about the film's hero and co-writer Ryan Reynolds, while another said: “I swear to God if Deadpool doesn't have some kind of clever fourth wall.” Ironic Break Based on Spider-Man's choreography in Deadpool and Wolverine, I would be very disappointed.”
Directed by Deadpool and Wolverine star Shawn Levy, the film stars Matthew Macfadyen, Brianna Hildebrand, Karan Soni, Rob Delaney, and Morena Baccarin. It will be released in the UK on July 25, and in the US the following day.
