last words friends Matthew Perry’s involvement has been revealed in new documents released after five people were charged earlier this week in connection with his death.
Perry died on October 28 of last year, and his final notes to his assistant Kenneth Iwamasa were included in court documents released this week.
Daily Mail Press reports Perry told Iwamasa to “inject me with a big dose,” referring to a dose of ketamine. He also asked his assistant to prepare the jacuzzi. Perry was later found lying face down in the hot tub.
The same documents reveal that Perry had been found unconscious in his home twice before.
Iwamasa has been charged along with four other people, including two doctors, in connection with Perry’s death – Eric Fleming, Dr. Mark Chavez, Jasvin Sangha, and Dr. Salvador Plasencia.
Iwamasa, Fleming, and Chavez agreed to plead guilty, while Sanga and Plasencia denied guilt.
Following the indictments, U.S. Attorney Martin Estrada announced at a news conference in Los Angeles on Thursday that the five defendants include a resident assistant (Iwamasa), two doctors and a woman known as the “Ketamine Queen.” Estrada said the defendants were part of a “wide-ranging criminal network” that supplied ketamine to Perry and others. He said the suspects “exploited Mr. Perry’s addiction problems to enrich themselves.”
