Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater isn’t a PlayStation exclusive

Insider Gaming sources have revealed that the Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater remake won’t be a PlayStation exclusive, despite rumors online.

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater Remake is arguably one of Konami’s worst kept secrets, as it’s understood that the announcement will be released in the PlayStation Showcase as a teaser (not a full gameplay trailer). The PlayStation Show will begin at 1pm PDT on May 24th.

Insider Gaming sources reveal that Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater Remake will be released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S and Steam.

Rumors of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater Remake have been circulating for years, but a report from… VGC in October 2021 Boost the possibility. According to VGC, the new version is being developed by Gifted.

Other rumors have suggested that a Castlevania title is also in the works – but as of now, Insider Gaming hasn’t been able to verify if the title will appear during the Summer Games Festival.

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater was first released in November 2004 and had sold 2.38 million units in Asia and America by December 2004. By 2021, the game had sold over four million units worldwide.
