Other notable economic data to be released this week will include the Conference Board’s Consumer Confidence Index for April on Tuesday, the Census Bureau’s Durable Goods report for March on Wednesday, and BEA’s personal income and expenses for March on Friday.

Conference board The Consumer Confidence Index for April is released. The consensus estimate is for a reading of 104.1, roughly even with the March data.

S&P CoreLogic It topped the Case-Shiller National Home Price Index for February. The expectation is for housing prices to be flat on an annual basis. Early 2012 was the last time the index did not show a year-on-year increase.

BEA reports Personal income and expenses for the month of March. Income is expected to increase by 0.2% on a monthly basis, while spending is expected to decrease by 0.1%. This compared to gains of 0.3% and 0.2%, respectively, in February. The core PCE price index is expected to rise 4.5% from a year earlier, a tenth of a percentage point lower than the previous one.
