House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has been criticized on social media for comments she made about her “Contact” with China Which I spoke about during a press conference on Thursday.

Pelosi said she has always had a special relationship with China because of her childhood memory.

“When I was a little girl I was told on the beach if I dig a hole deep enough we’d get to China, so we always felt connected there,” Pelosi said.

Pelosi made the comment during a trip to the Indo-Pacific.

Another Twitter user said: “Are you telling me this person was our best choice to visit Taiwan?”
