Co-ordinator of the Quebec Court for Montreal Region Patricia Compecnon, a co-ordinator in the sentencing case, recently called for a police investigation into the actions of Agent Guillo Jolie-Desier.
In a letter to authorities, the magistrate spoke of a “worrying, disturbing event.”
“Furthermore, I would like to advise you that we can no longer trust police officer Jolie-Desier. He will no longer be a whistleblower for judicial recognition in Montreal, “said Judge Compaqnon.
Excerpts from the letter were read when Frederick Silva returned to court two weeks ago.
“It seems very serious to me,” said his lawyer, Ms.e Daniel Roy, when asked by High Court Judge Mark David to adjourn proceedings for his client.
Loose killer
Silva, 42, was sentenced on Sunday to life in prison for three counts of murder in 2018.
Hitman was already in hiding when he committed these crimes. Bernard Cerfon, who was murdered Wednesday evening at a restaurant in Laval, is suspected by police of helping to hide the killer.
Silva is wanted in connection with the February 2017 murder of Daniel Armando Somosa Kildia, who was performed outside a strip club in Montreal.
Two weeks ago, Hitman fired several grenades in the direction of former Mafia leader Salvador Scopa outside a restaurant in Terrephone.
This earned him a place in the top 10 most wanted criminals in Quebec, so investigators were willing to do anything to arrest him.
As a tactic, Montreal Police Officer Guillome Jolie-Desier, without his permission, created a fake warrant using the official seal of the Justice of the Peace.
The investigator was victimized for refusing to sign the document from Judge Josée De Carufel.
Taking advantage of the absence of the magistrate, Agent Jolie-Desier still affixed the latter’s seal on the erroneous order. He then cut out the judge’s signature from another judicial authority and did some “tinkering”.
A forged warrant was used to compel a witness to cooperate with the investigation.
It was not known yesterday whether the complaint against Agent Jolie-Desier is currently being investigated by the Commissioner of Police Ethics.
