Norman Lear, creator, writer and producer of popular television classics such as All in the family, Maude, good times, And Al Jefferson, He died of cardiac arrest, according to a death certificate filed in Los Angeles County today.
Lear died in Los Angeles at the age of 101 on December 5. At the time, a family spokesperson said only that he died of natural causes.
The death certificate lists the immediate cause of death as cardiopulmonary arrest, with congestive heart failure as the underlying cause.
