– Titans receiver Treylon Burks did not train after suffering a shin injury in Wednesday practice.
Titans coach Mike Vrabel gave an update on Burks after practice, and I did a separate story about it: click here.
– The other injury news that raised some concerns after training centered on the health of quarterback Will Levis.
Vrabel mentioned that Levis had not finished training, which surprised him a bit.
I happened to be watching Levis when he left, and I noticed he never came back, and I wondered if the coach would mention that. he did.
Levis left the field with a coach after the last blow of the team’s period. He was just forced out of the pocket on his right, and ran towards the sideline. When the play was over, Levis ran back with the team to the middle of the field before eventually falling back the other way. Levis first entered a white tent adjacent to the training fields. Levis stayed inside for a few moments, then headed to the locker room. He never returned.
Levis was supposed to get overtime, said Vrabel, “but they took him, and we’ll see where he is in the game on Saturday.”
Vrabel did not give details of the possible injury.
The best play of the day for the Titans on defense was a one-handed interception by cornerback Christian Fulton.
The play came on a Kirk Cousins pass that was intended for Vikings tight end Josh Oliver.
Teammates celebrated Fulton and each other.
Fulton did several cute breakups on Thursday.
