NXT’s ratings have now reached the level of AEW Dynamite

Ratings and viewership data are in for the May 28 episode of WWE NXT.

for every Wrestling economyThe show averaged 703,000 viewers and received a 0.24 rating among 18-49 year olds.

One of the highlights of this episode was the appearance of rap star Sexy Red. This appears to have worked, because even in the face of strong competition from the NBA and NHL playoffs, NXT earned its second-best demo rating for 2024, behind only New Year’s Evil from January. This also marks the first time NXT has averaged over 700,000 viewers since the early January episodes.

What’s most interesting to me is that these numbers are very similar to the level AEW Dynamite reached over the previous five weeks, from April 24th to May 22nd. Right now, that’s a long shot for NXT reaching these numbers, but it’s something to keep. Eye on moving forward.
