Some 38 ambulance unions will go on indefinite strike in different parts of Quebec starting Tuesday.
In a press release issued on Monday morning, the Administrative Labor Tribunal, which received the strike notices, assured citizens that essential services would continue.
“The court has ruled that essential services must be maintained and declares that they are adequate so as not to endanger the health or safety of the public”, we read.
The 38 unions participating in the strike are affiliated with the Federation of Pre-hospital Workers of Quebec (FPHQ) or TASBI, which represents members working in establishments in various regions of Quebec.
