On the third day of Patrick Hoole’s trial, accused of causing injury by criminal negligence because of his dogs, the Crown presented its evidence.

The accused was called to the stand to state his facts.
His lawyer, Mee Bernard Raymond, quickly painted a portrait of a good father and a grandfather who cared about the well-being of his animals and those close to him.
Since his arrival in Val-des-Sources in December 2019, Mr. Houle said. According to his testimony, he was insulted by residents, some of whom did not appreciate the existence of his magnesium recycling company.
In the first part of his testimony, which lasted more than two hours, the events that took place on August 31, 2021, three women were attacked by five Great Danes, who allegedly escaped from the fence surrounding the magnesium technology recycling company, the attack on his animals for which he was accused, only touched.
The accused contradicted the different versions of the state witnesses who appeared before him.
She says her dogs are well-behaved and interact freely with staff without showing signs of aggression.
He said he was stunned by what he learned during the trial. Of all the incidents recounted by witnesses, she recalled only one unfortunate incident involving a cyclist whose dogs rushed at her.
Patrick Hole will continue his testimony on Thursday.
