A pedestrian was seriously injured and is fighting for his life in a car crash in Quebec’s Saint-Sauveur area on Sunday evening.
The incident took place at 5:48 pm on the Boulevard Charest near the rue de l’Aqueduc junction.
According to authorities, the fifty-year-old woman who was walking on the side “appeared out of nowhere”. The driver of the vehicle heading east could not avoid the impact.
The victim was rescued by paramedics and taken to hospital.
“We have reason to fear for his life,” explains Sandra Diane’s spokeswoman for the Service de la de Ville de Quebec (SPVQ).
The Boulevard Charest is completely closed in both directions, between rue Saint-Sauveur and rue Saint-Germain. The forensic identification unit and key criminal investigators have arrived at the scene to clarify the circumstances of the conflict.
All hypotheses, including voluntary action, are currently being considered.
