pelotonIts internet-connected fitness services appear to be working again for most users, after the company experienced a massive outage on Tuesday morning, meaning members were unable to attend live and on-demand fitness classes.
at A note posted on its website at 12:11 PM ETPeloton wrote: “We are seeing a widespread recovery of Peloton services. We are still working to confirm that all services are back up and running. We apologize for any impact this may have on your training.”
Just before 11 a.m., the company said it was investigating an issue with the service, which it said “may affect your ability to take lessons or access web pages.”
Peloton shares were down about 4% at midday.
The cause of the blackout wasn’t immediately clear, though it affected both Peloton bikes and its running machines, known as Treads. Slack owned by Salesforce It was also low for some users Tuesday morning, hampering workplace communications.
Some Peloton members have taken to Twitter to express their frustration with the online services. Some said they were just getting ready for a workout while the app was down – and others were in the middle of a workout.
