The man, who was allegedly stabbed to death early Friday in the Beaufort sector of Quebec, is currently between life and death. The person who allegedly assaulted him has been arrested.
They were citizens who contacted authorities just before 4:30 a.m. when they saw a respectable thirty-year-old man. The man was lying on the ground in the parking lot of an apartment building on Avenue Saint-Narcissus.
According to our sources, he has multiple stab wounds. He was taken to a hospital center and his condition is thought to be critical, said Mary-Pierre Reward of the Quebec City Police Service (SPVQ).
The suspect in the case escaped before the arrival of peace officials, but he was detained at 5:10 a.m. at a home in the metropolitan area of Saint-Sauveur after a major police stand.
And in his thirties, the suspect is currently in custody and is expected to appear in a Quebec court during the day.
Is fighting wrong?
The SPVQ said the serious crime unit is currently conducting an investigation to shed light on the tragic circumstances. At the crime scene, debris left after the attack was still scattered on the ground, around 8:30 p.m.
The command post, several patrol officers and members of the Forensic Identity Division and the Corps Division were also stationed at the site. The relationship between the victim and the perpetrator is not yet known.
However, neighbors say they heard screams related to the fight just hours before the victim was found.
“Two boys and two girls were pushing each other and at 1pm, it was like they were screaming. Car parking. We would never have guessed it would turn out like this! Says Marc-Antoine Pouliot, who lives in the building next door.
Apparently, the incident had the effect of a bomb on the neighborhood side, which we promise will be generally quiet.
“I have lived here for four years and this is the first time we have seen something like this here. When we woke up this morning we could not believe it. It’s weird, that’s all! “Tristan Lemiere notes.
Another attack
If the victim’s death is confirmed, it will be the second homicide in the Quebec region since the beginning of this year.
Recall that on April 6, a sex worker near St.-Charles Lake lost his life and was killed by mental illness.
In addition, another similar event took place in the city of Beaufort last week. Michael Boucher, 51, was charged with attempting to murder his 46 – year – old wife after being first arrested by police a few hours earlier.
