An online leaker has claimed that Red Dead Redemption 3 is “officially in the works.” This may be because Grand Theft Auto 6 is nearing the end of its development cycle and preparing for its impending announcement and subsequent release, and as a result, Rockstar is focusing on Red Dead Redemption 3, which will likely be another six or three games. This leak comes as a courtesy @MyTimeToShineH on Twitter, which also recently posted a claim that a Hogwarts Legacy sequel is in development – which we reported on here. There are suggestions circulating online leaning towards Red Dead Redemption 3 serving as a prequel and setting up before Red Dead Redemption 2 events.
In this case, the film will show the Van der Linde gang in their early years – if it actually focuses on these characters at all. It would be appropriate for the game to keep pace with the events that took place in Blackwater, which saw the gang dispersed at the beginning of Red Dead Redemption 2, as happened at the end of Red Dead Redemption 2. Which The game eventually led to the opening of 2010’s Red Dead Redemption.
